| description | Season for Peak Fees: All Year Salt Point State Park includes six miles of the Sonoma Coast, ranging from sandy beach coves to steep bluffs and sandstone cliffs. At the top of the coastal ridge there is a large prairie and pygmy forest. Wildlife includes the long-tailed weasel, wild pigs, brown pelicans and other water birds, blacktail deer, raccoons, coyotes, and a variety of rodents. The park has miles of hiking and horseback trails. The area is also the site of an underwater reserve for divers. Check the State Parks website for additional information on the weather, suggested day hikes, or to see the park brochure, campground map, park photos, video, and more. Information available will vary from park to park. Click here Park Kiosk Hours : Hi Season: 8am-4pm During the "lo season" the kiosks at Salt Point are not staffed. |

You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). This is NOT SALTON SEA STATE PARK Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park. Although your site may hold 2 or more vehicles, your reservation only covers 1 vehicle (except for group or specialty sites). 2017 Reservation Season: Gerstle Cove Campground: Family Sites: Reservations available from April 1 through September 30; 1st-1st when not on reservations Group Camp: Reservations All Year To book a Group site you must have at least NINE occupants. Woodside Campground: Reservations available from April 1 through September 4; 1st-1st September 5 through October 31; CLOSED when not on reservations WOODSIDE and GERSTLE COVE are the loops in this park. |
